Year 1

This program will offer experiences in animal science concepts with exciting hands-on activities, projects, and problems. Students’ experiences will involve the study of animal anatomy, physiology, behavior, nutrition, reproduction, health, selection, and marketing. Hands-on projects and activities will prepare students interested in entering the filed of animal science specialists including careers such as veterinarians, zoologists, livestock producers, and industry personnel..

Year 2

Veterinary Science covers the basics of animal care. Topics include disease, parasites, feeding, shelter, grooming, and general animal care. Students who plant to continue their education in pursuit of a degree in the Veterinary profession upon high school graduation will benefit from this program’s dual credit component as it is an opportunity to earn elective. Students who plan to enter the workforce upon graduation will also benefit from this program as it allows for the development of entry-level skills to become employed.
